Haha your point is well taken. Even VI masters like yourself can be open to other ideas. And I think that's a really good thing.

I did work for Lindows/Linspire before in college. But I must admit that I never really fully believed in the product. I heartily believe in Ubuntu. Yeah I feel you on the difficulty with games. Luckily I don't play games too much anymore. I think that it is a bit of a pain even if I were, but I kind of think that I would want to. It just seems like although it's not as familiar, everything is much more transparent in Linux if you really want to look. I'm not saying it's completely easy, but at least it's not hidden deep in some impossible to decipher registry setting!

Of course I still haven't started dual or triple booting my laptop like I wanted to. But I still use Ubuntu on a consistent basis for my old desktop (which I've converted for the most part into a PVR) and the server that this blog is running off of.

Hey dude, yeah it's been a while. I actually tried using VIM at my current job because I thought that I would be faster, but as it turns out, when you have 20+ files open and some are 10,000+ lines and one is 30,000+ lines, using an IDE instead of a text editor REALLY comes in handy a lot. I still value my knowledge of VIM and use it from time to time, but it's just not practical for big projects imo. I'm surprised you were using Ubuntu...didn't you work for Linspire at one point? If it weren't for games I would have been able to pretty much switch to Ubuntu 100%, but it began to be a hassle to reboot my computer into Windows whenever Dhoff and the guys wanted to play Starcraft :(

@Seth
Haha I guess it's a matter of opinion. You think that holding the Bible as absolute truth is fanaticism while I think that it's warranted and grounded in fact. In any case, thanks for your comment!
