Coffee Distaste
Tagged as: Mar 21I talked to a co-worker a little bit yesterday as he was getting some coffee at the same time as I was heating up lunch in the microwave. I asked him how much coffee he drinks a day. I was amazed and kind of sickened when he said that he drinks 5-10 cups a day (where he would want to do 10 if it’s possible to get away from his desk).
Okay so maybe I wasn’t that sickened, but when he told me that at another job where he sat near the coffee pot (which was a drip style coffee maker) and drank 3 pots a day I was definitely grossed out! What in the world?! I, of course, asked him if he felt effects from it, and he claimed that he did not. But I don’t know if I believe him because that is just ridiculous. Plus he then proceeded to talk about how if he drinks coffee with too much sugar he’ll crash from the sugar and get very short-tempered.
Wow, extremes like that usually seem pretty outlandish to other people, don’t they? They do to me anyways.
woah. thats pretty intense.
you went back to the other look. i like this one more. haha =D
@kiki
That is super weird. I have no idea how the theme got switched. I never meant to. So you like that default look better? Is it just because it’s plainer? I want to keep this version for now because I made some changes to it that the other themes don’t have yet. I also don’t like the other one because it’s the default so there are lots and lots of blogs out there with that look. But I will take into account the fact that you like either the color pallet or the simple look of that theme.
at first when i saw “coffee distaste” i was like, “wah?! coffee is the best!” but yea…ur coworker man.. tell him to slowly ease his way outta the addiction!!
@tiff
I actually asked him if he was addicted, and he said that he wasn’t! He said that he quit before “cold turkey” without any side effects. I don’t know about that…
[...] Today (okay maybe last night) I wanted to finally fix a stupid error that I’ve had with my Wordpress installation. Now I think that Wordpress has been pretty great, but there was something about it that was making me a little bit irritated. Wordpress was working great when I first started, but then one day it seemingly reverted itself back to the Default theme as Kiki so astutely pointed out on this post. [...]
My mom used to drink a ton of coffee and ended up cutting back almost completely. I think the thing about coffee is that the side effects can be mistaken for just regular personality traits.
Yeah I don’t really know about the different adverse and positive effects of coffee. I always hear about such and such study saying that it’s either good or bad. I guess a safe approach would be the classic “everything in moderation” one, huh?
