@Ms. Q
Yeah I noticed that about the left arrow, and perhaps someday when I feel so motivated I will fix it. For now, I don't care enough. :P

I actually purposefully left IE6 on a computer that I have access to simply because it's useful for checking out web designs that I do. Besides, installing IE7 is not worth it to me at all when I can just install Firefox.

Well I'm glad that you can still do the automatic updates, perhaps I'm mistaken about it using some parts of IE to do so. Or perhaps what I read had to do with going to the automatic updates website and then updating. In any case, don't be without those updates!

On that note, have you ever tried using Linux? Idle thought since you were so adamant about uninstalling IE from your computer. I've been using Ubuntu personally (as well as on this server, check out About This to see a description of the server that this blog is being hosted by) for a couple of years now. It's getting really really easy to use for anyone out there. Just thought I'd put that out there in case you were ever curious.

Your red "left" arrow isn't as "pointy" as the blue one and my guess is that that is the way the pixel-ing worked out!

I sometimes regret having uninstalled IE 6 from my computer as it would come in handy for testing how my blog displays. Oh, well.

I don't have any problems with automatic updates. I have a Dell laptop and it goes through Dell support somehow.

@Tom Paine
I'm happy to be of assistance.

@Ms. Q
Well I guess you're one of the few that I've heard from that actually could have guessed what the favicon was! I think that your favicon is not bad in the least! In fact, it seems pretty good to me.

I didn't like working with the little pixels either. It was rather frustrating at times.

That's a little bit impressive that you actually went so far as to uninstall IE from your computer. Do you have a difficult time doing the automatic updates? I've read that there are some hooks from IE into the automatic updating, but that might have only been before.

I'm glad that you think that they're clean and simple. That is what I like to hear!

I wondered about your favicon as well but figured it was a curvy road and that tied in with gong the Wong way.

I created my own favicon, too. I had been thinking about it after reading about them. But it was low on my list. Then HMTKSteve from HMTK.com asked me for my favicon so he could use it in his blogroll. Eeekk!

I was honored to be asked! Steve has been quite the mentor to me since I began my blog and based on some comments I've seen elsewhere, he seems to mentor/help many other bloggers besides me.

Well, his asking me for my favicon was a bit prod for me to create one. I had hoped to somehow incorporate my avatar but it looked too messy and just having some "Q" looked off, too. I used MS Paint (I don't have any imaging software) and working in 16 X 16 pixel mode wasn't easy. That's how I ended up with my wineglass.

In the end, I thought that like most creative projects I start out doing, the end result was not quite what I had in mind but in trying to work with what I had, I ended up with something I really liked.

Creating the favicon ended up being the easy part! It took me several tries to figure out how to get it to display in the browser and I am not sure if everyone even sees it! I uninstalled IE on my laptop so I had to use another computer to see if it worked on IE. I only use Firefox!

Your new arrows are nice, clean and simple.

@Jill
Yeah I never really found out too much about them until I started hosting my own website. It's pretty neat to find out how things are the way that they are.

While it might be true that a toilet isn't bad for a bathroom series award, I'm not sure that it's quite the best option when creating an icon for an entire website that is NOT devoted to toilets!
