And good luck to you because it is a path not often successfully completed! I've read that peer relationships at that age are everything (and I'd tend to agree) so until something happens that he listens to a peer or he finally realizes that you have wisdom, things will probably stay fairly the same. If he sneezed like that around me, he'd definitely get to see me make a disgusted face at that. Saying that "it hangs there until he can figure out what to do with it" just <i>sounds</i> gross! @Jennifer

LOL! I honestly don't think he's trying to gross people out (although he does seem to enjoy doing so at times) but that he just doesn't think more than a millisecond into the future. There is so much that parents have to do in order to be doing alright! What a difficult path they have ahead of them. @Jennifer Good luck with dealing with your teenage son! I hear about these kinds of things going on in other parts of the world besides the U.S. (which is why other places have higher occurrences of things like Hepatitis C, E. coli, etc), but I think that it's especially gross where I can see it. Partly it's probably because it affects me more directly, but I also just cannot believe that people could still be that ignorant! When will people learn? I'm not really sure. I wonder if they do it because they don't know that it's gross (you would think that someone in their lifetime would have informed them that it was) or if they just don't care enough to change. @Jill
