But it sure seems that you enjoy Dallas Willard as I've noticed you reference him on your blog a few times. Have you read about Dallas Willard's process for change, VIM: vision, intention, means. He believes that in order to change, we must have a vision (i.e. what is the goal), we must have the intention (i.e. what you term desire), and the means (i.e. the step by step tools, methods, instructions).
