The Most Obvious Place

A touch
And…ah relief
But where did the precious item go?
It’s probably at my feet

It’s not there
I heard a tinkle, a sound of hard items contacting
But it’s not there
Not where I’d expect it

I’m on my knees
Begging, hoping, almost praying
When will I know?

Now I’m searching far and wide
In the depths of despair
Amidst the trash and the disgusting
Nobody should need to look at this stuff, let alone touch it
But it’s worth it

Who will accept it?
When will I be satisfied?
When will I know the secrets that I want to know?
Ah this is so much trouble
I want to rest
I give up

Oh.
There it is right under my nose!
Well, not quite right under
More like a little to the right…

Excursions Into The Casgo

Enter the majestic gates.
Or rather, the opening beneath the rolling warehouse door.
Let them greet you as you flash your pass.
Could you want anything more?

Try out the little goodies all around.
Different tastes offer themselves to you.
The sweet and the salty, the bread and meat.
All mixed in your stomach like some strange stew.

What will you do when the crowd confronts you?
You seem overwhelmed and help from who?
Nobody cares about you and your posse.
Oh look the pirate child to the rescue!

He has a sword on his little belt.
And a fearsome glow within his eyes.
His hand is at the ready,
But possibly if his Popsicle is taken he cries.

The cheese! The cheese!
Oh so much cheese!
You want to eat more?
Well then just say please.

Bring your riches, then you may pass.
I see the light, oh yonder ho!
There is just one standing in our way.
She then says, “thank you for coming to Casgo.”

Worth The Wait

I want to wait
But I don’t know if I can stay strong.
If something comes along,
I don’t know if I want to wait that long.

You seem so far
I am so tempted by near things.
In my head,
A definite doubt rings.

“You need to give in”
And “It’s not worth the wait”.
Right there,
Those are some thoughts that I hate.

I want it to be right
I want to choose in a wise fashion.
Instead of waiting
To do the dashin’.

I wonder if I’m just strange,
Everyone else seems alright.
They’re all satisfied
They don’t lay awake and suffer in the night.

Longing for that
Which is not yet here.
Won’t you come
And be with me, dear.

Have you been Dancing With The Stars?
I’d rather travel to Mars.
Oh how fun that’d be!
Perhaps instead I’ll cross the sea.
To the tropical vacation of fame
Maybe there find a classic dame?
Or maybe win a trip to the country of my roots.
Where I could buy some nice designer boots
Or more likely a fake designer bag.
